Selma Blackmon Seeks Assistance
Selma Blackmon and her sister, Barbara, are searching for information about Wesley Dunham who was born in New York probably in 1811. He appears in the 1850 Census of Granby (Oswego county), NY as a 39 year old farmer. The census lists his wife, Eliza (33) and several children ages 1 to 14. In the 1860 census of Scriba (Oswego County), NY a Wesley Dunham, age 49, is listed with a Pepper family. In the 1880 census of Palermo, Oswego County, New York, a Wesley Dunham, 69, is listed with a wife, Mahala Dunham -- perhaps not the same Wesley Dunham. They have also found a Lindsey W. Dunham but it is not evident if it is the same individual or whether they are two different individuals.
Selma has provided some photos from an 1844 booklet that she hopes someone may recognize.

The first is a picture of the outside covers of the booklet. There are shots of several pages that someone may recognize. They appear to be an accounts ledger, perhaps. There is also an interesting photo of a calendaring device.
Finally, there is a photo labeled Grandmother and Grandfather Dunham [the parents of Jane A. Dunham Couch] as well as a copy of the inscription on the reverse of the photo. The photo is presented below.

While researching property deeds, Selma & Barbara have found the names of Lindsey W. Dunham and his wife, Esther A. The pages of the booklet shown above contain the names of Lindsey and Jane.
Selma and Barbara would appreciate hearing from anyone with relevant information at selmajoey@yahoo.com
