The home of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Seymour, Elm Street, in Northampton, Massachusetts, was purchased by Smith College and razed to make room for a new dormitory. Mrs. Seymour was the former Frances Barrows, daughter of Francis L. & Olive Dunham Barrows,
and the granddaughter of Ralph & Melinda Hyde Dunham. The Seymours were the parents of two daughters, Frances B., who became the wife of the Rt. Rev. H. R. Hulse, Missionary
Bishop of Cuba, and Mary H., who became the wife of Col. Daniel McCormack, head of Immigration and Naturalization in the Labor Department under President Franklin Roosevelt. Dr. Seymour died in 1917, and his wife predeceased him.
