MEMBERSHIP
The organization is established to perpetuate the memory and genealogy of the
Dunham/Singletary family and connections.
Any individual upon application and payment of prescribed dues and fees may
become a member. The annual membership fee is $25. The membership fee is not
pro-ratable for partial years. The membership year runs from January 1 through
December 31 of any year. The first year's membership shall extend to December
31, 2005.
Although membership cards are not yet available, it is intended to issue them as
soon as possible.
Two application forms are available for use. One is an application for
on-line submission and the other intended primarily
for US mail applications. The
on-line application form has a "Buy Now" button at the bottom which allows
payment to be made through PayPal. For persons outside the US applying for
membership, the on-line form and payment may be advantageous.
The US mail application
should be completed and mailed with the $25 US membership fee to:
Dunham/Singletary Family Connections
PO Box 7178
Helena, MT 59604
For persons for whom we may not have any lineage information, we would
appreciate receiving the information with the application.
For the organization to succeed and flourish there are two major requirements:
(1) a program of services to assist the members and (2) active participation by
the members to the extent possible.
On the application form we are seeking your suggestions for services that the
organization should consider providing and for information about skills and
talents you have which would be beneficial to the organization.
OBJECTIVES
Article V of the Articles of Incorporation sets out objectives for the
organization and tries to establish a tone for its activities. One might want to
review these objectives when considering how to participate.
We hope to have an initial issue of a newsletter available as soon as the
material can be prepared. We invite you to communicate with our Publications
Editor about preparing articles for inclusion. Since we anticipate the majority
of our communications with members will be done electronically, we need to know
your e-mail address. We are contemplating how to make the newsletter available
to you.
DIRECTORS' MEETINGS
As soon as possible we will be having an initial meeting of the directors. We
will be posting notice of the meeting and agenda as soon as available. The
directors will appreciate your advice and comments about any of the issues that
will need to be considered.
